What Prompts Are

Prompts are the center of TypeBoost.

In TypeBoost, a prompt is a saved instruction you can run again and again.

Instead of rewriting the same request every time, you save it once and use it whenever you need it.

Think of a Prompt as a Reusable Action

A good way to think about prompts is this:

  • one prompt = one repeatable job
    Examples:
    • improve this email
    • shorten this paragraph
    • make this clearer
    • translate this into Spanish
    • turn this into action items

That is why TypeBoost feels different from a normal chat window.

You are not starting from zero every time. You are building your own set of reusable actions.

Prompts Can Work with Text or Voice

Prompts in TypeBoost can be set up for:

  • text workflows
  • voice workflows
  • both

That means the same product logic can work whether you start from selected text or from speech.

What a Prompt Usually Contains

Most prompts have a few simple parts:

  • a name
  • a type
  • optional tags
  • the instruction itself

Some prompts also include example inputs and outputs to make results more consistent.

You do not need a complex setup for most use cases. Many strong prompts start with one clear instruction and a good name.

What TypeBoost Adds Automatically

When you run a prompt, TypeBoost adds your current input for you.

That input can be:

  • selected text from another app
  • text you typed into TypeBoost
  • speech from Voice Mode

So you do not need to paste your content into a long prompt every time.

Why This Matters

Once your best prompts are saved, TypeBoost becomes much faster:

  • less repetition
  • more consistent results
  • less app switching
  • less copy and paste

Over time, your prompts become a personal toolkit for the kinds of writing tasks you do most often.
