# Recent Activity

Recent Activity is your run history in TypeBoost.

It helps you find past outputs without rerunning the same prompt again.

## How to Open It

On Mac, you can open Recent Activity from:

- the menu bar icon
- the History shortcut

By default, the History shortcut is `Control + H`.

## What You Can Do There

Recent Activity lets you:

- browse past runs
- filter by prompt
- sort newer or older first
- open a previous item and copy it again

This is useful when you want to reuse something you already generated, compare how a prompt behaves over time, or find text you wrote earlier in the day.

## Filter by Prompt

If you use TypeBoost for many different jobs, filtering by prompt is the fastest way to narrow the list.

For example, you can look only at runs from:

- your email prompt
- your translation prompt
- your notes-to-tasks prompt

That turns history into something more useful than a raw timeline.

## Sort the List

You can switch the order of the history feed.

That helps when you want either:

- the newest result right away
- or older results without endless scrolling

## History Length Depends on Your Plan

History is not kept forever on every plan.

Current retention is plan-based:

- Free: shorter history
- Pro: longer history

You can always see the current retention window in the app and on your account surfaces.

## Why Recent Activity Matters

For many users, Recent Activity becomes a second layer of the product.

It is not only a log. It is also a fast place to recover useful output you already made.
